Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Advanced Management Studied (JAMS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct in publishing. Plagiarism in any form is a serious violation of scholarly ethics and will not be tolerated. This plagiarism policy outlines our approach to identifying, addressing, and preventing plagiarism in all submitted manuscripts.

Definition of Plagiarism: Plagiarism is the act of presenting the work, ideas, or words of others as one's own without proper attribution or acknowledgment. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  1. Direct copying of text, data, or ideas from another source without quotation marks or citation.
  2. Paraphrasing or summarizing content from another source without proper citation.
  3. Self-plagiarism, which involves reusing one's own previously published work without proper citation or acknowledgment.
  4. Plagiarism of ideas or concepts, even if the wording is paraphrased, without appropriate attribution.

Detection of Plagiarism: JAMS utilizes plagiarism detection software to screen all submitted manuscripts for potential instances of plagiarism. Authors are required to submit original work that has not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be immediately rejected and authors may be subject to further disciplinary action, including banning from future submissions to the journal.

Responsibility of Authors: Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and integrity of their work. When submitting a manuscript to JAMS, authors must:

  1. Properly cite and attribute all sources used in their research, including text, data, images, and ideas.
  2. Obtain permission to reproduce any copyrighted material used in their manuscript.
  3. Avoid self-plagiarism by properly citing and referencing any previous work that is included in the manuscript.
  4. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence their research or findings.

Actions Against Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected in a submitted manuscript, the following actions may be taken:

  1. Immediate rejection of the manuscript.
  2. Notification of the author(s) and their affiliated institutions.
  3. Prohibition of future submissions to JAMS by the author(s).
  4. Reporting of the incident to relevant academic institutions, funding agencies, or professional organizations.

Appeals Process: Authors who believe their work has been unfairly accused of plagiarism may appeal the decision by providing evidence to support the originality and integrity of their manuscript. Appeals will be reviewed by the editorial team on a case-by-case basis.

Prevention of Plagiarism: JAMS educates authors, reviewers, and editorial staff about the importance of academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. We provide guidelines and resources to help authors properly cite and attribute sources and actively promote a culture of honesty and integrity in scholarly research.
